Enamel:

It is the hard crystalline material which covers the exposed part of your teeth. It is the hardes substance in the human body.

Enamel Shaping
Is a process of shaping, or contouring natural teeth to improve their overall appearance. When teeth are slightly crowded or uneven, or when eye teeth appear too long, enamel shaping may be used to correct the flaw.

Endodontics:
Inside your tooth is the pulp (which is running like a thread through the root). When the pulp is diseased or injured, the pulp tissue dies. If you don't remove it, your tooth geths infected and this causes intense pain and can lead to a dental abscess. After the dentist removes the pulp, the root canal is cleaned and sealed off to protect it. Then usually a crown is placed over your toot to help make it stronger.

Endodontist:
A dentist who specializes in root canals and the treatment of diseases or injuries that affect the root tips.

Eruption:
A new tooth that breaks through the surface of your gum.

Etch:
The act of opening microporosities in the enamel or porcelain to facilitate bonding. The technique which literally allows white fillings to "stick".

Exfoliate:
The deciduous teeth exfoliate (fall out) and permanent teeth erupt into the space.

Explorer:
Sharp instrument used to detect decay on the surface of teeth.

Extrusion:
Tooth movement in the direction of eruption.

Extraction
Removal of a tooth.
