We make no difference if you are in for a regualar checkup or more complex procedure - it is our goal to keep you healthy and protected from any health hazards. We wear gloves and facemasks to prevent the passing of germs. Our staff puts special attention in the preparation of single-use, disposal instruments and materials for each patient such as a separately sterilized packed set of tools and drills.
Our dental office complies with the most stringent norms in sterilization and hygiene.
The records are applied to our dental offices not only for the instruments which are in constantly contact with the patient but also for the equipment which is not in direct contact.
At our dental studios we all wear sterile gloves and face masks which get changed after each patient. Our staff wears protective clothing and surgical caps.
The instruments in our dental offices are used according the following procedures:
This is the reduction or removal of all microbial life, including highly resistant bacterial spores on instruments and all the other surfaces.
The instruments are first put in a container in which a disinfective liquid sterilizes the instruments. (This procedure usually takes up to 30 minutes)
Cleaning should precede all disinfection and sterilization processes. It should involve the removal of debris as well as organic and inorganic contamination. Removal of debris and contamination is to be achieved of about 90% through the use of an ultrasonic cleaner.
The dry heat steralizers destroys microorganisms with higher temperatures.
This instrument is considered effective and safe for metal instruments because the process does not dull instrument edges or rust the intruments.
The sterilized instruments get packed through the film sealing device. After that these are marked with a lot control number for sterilization.
The sterilization is the final duty of each treatment.
The instruments must be sterilized between usage in the Steam sterilizer (autoclave) which uses high temperature, pressure to destroy microorganisms.
Once the autoclave has finished our dental assistant registers the sterilized instruments. (The packed instruments will have a lot number and an expiry date) These remain vaccum packed until the next dental visit. The packed set of tools becomes opend in front of the patient.
Our staff takes good care of the dental studio to maintain sanitation and sterilization. After each patient the surfaces and equipments become disinfected and the instruments and handpieces become sterilized. Our staff uses new sterile latex gloves, surgical-style masks over nose and mouth for each patient.
